Yuzi chahal and Dhanushree divorce

In my opinion, in India it is always easier to shift the blame on women.

If a women is raped somewhere, even then it is her who is characterless, might have been wearing short clothes in order to intice men.

If a woman’s husband cheats on her with another woman, even then it is her fault who couldn’t keep her man interested and must have driven him away.

If a woman’s husband hits her, even then it is she who is at fault as she must be irritating, annoying and must have provoked the anger of the husband so only he hit her.

If a woman divorces her man, then she must be a gold digger, characterless, cheat and what not.

If a woman demands alimony, she must be a gold digger but noone questions the abuse she must have undergone in the marriage, lost career growth opportunities, how unappreciated and unloved she might have felt and thus took a huge step to break the marriage.

If a man doesn’t score runs, then also woman is blamed for distracting him, incompetence and failure.

Even in this case, noone is questioning Yuzi Chahal who is a cricketer and also a man thus can do no wrong absolutely while everyone is blaming the woman for being a gold digger, using husband’s name to gain name, fame and popularity.

Noone knows what exactly happened and what are the real facts but even while speculating all are just shifting the blame on the woman. Noone is ready to give the benefit of doubt to the woman.

Maybe he himself had grown extremely toxic or was cheating on her with another woman. But Noone wants to consider that possibility. As even if he had cheated it must be the wife’s fault that she drove him away with her behavior or must have not done enough to keep the spark alive and keep him interested.

A woman Is always expected to carry the burden of a relationship and be the bigger person, adjust and make room for everyone. And God forbid is she tries to break the cage, then she is too ambitious, oppurtunistic, gold digger, selfish, egoistic and self centered.

Noone really questions the man. In India with deeply rooted patriarchy and misogyny, there is absolutely no winning for a woman.

In my opinion, marriage is a sacred bond between two people and it takes two to tango. Everyone is blaming the lady but I feel since we do not know the real facts and what exactly transpired between the two, one must not blame one person entirely rather keep an open mind that maybe even he might not be a great man as he seems to be.
